INFORMATION SYSTEMS HAHE INTEGRATED INFORMATION SYSTEM

The Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE), an independent administrative body aiming to ensure high quality in Higher Education, was established by Law 4653/2012 and replaced the Hellenic Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (HQA), which had been operating since 2006. HAHE, run by a President and Council, is administratively autonomous and is supervised by the Minister of Education, who exercises oversight control of legality.
HAHE's mission is a) to contribute to formulating and implementing the national strategy for higher education as well as distributing funds to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), and b) to evaluate and accredit the operational quality of HEIs. The Authority ensures total transparency of functions and posts all actions and decisions on its website.
To achieve its mission, HAHE operates an integrated information system of higher education data and cooperates with international networks and agencies, which are active in any domain related to its mission. HAHE is a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).
