EXTERNAL EVALUATION OF THE UNIVERSITY

Higher Education Institutions are responsible for ensuring and continuously improving education and research quality, as well as effective service operation and performance. Universities formulate and implement an internal system of principles, criteria and regulations, the proper function of which is evaluated by HQA. The major External Evaluation objectives involve:

  • enhancing University self-knowledge
  • highlighting advantages and good practices
  • recognising drawbacks and weaknesses
  • implementing suggested improvements
In accordance with Law 4653/2020, additional individual evaluations of the university academic units are carried out, in terms of specific topics, such as internationalisation strategy, gender equality, accessibility for people with disabilities, graduates’ employability, HEI’s environmental footprint, academic environment, e-learning and lifelong learning programmes, staff and students’ digital skills.
